Interpreter Service

We are committed to providing accessible and inclusive care for all patients. If you or a family member require assistance with communication, including language interpreters or Auslan (sign language) interpreters, please let us know when booking your appointment.

We can organise an interpreter (free of charge for medicare eligible patients) through the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS National) or other appropriate services to support clear and effective communication during your visit.

For the best experience, we recommend advising us of your needs at the time of booking.


AFTER HOURS

Gosnells HealthCare Centre is pleased to announce that we have appointed Get Better as our deputised after hours medical service. This means that Get Better will be available with immediate effect to visit our patients in their homes if they need to see a Doctor when our clinic is closed. Get Better is an after hours service and is only permitted by Medicare to operate at certain times.

These are:

Weekdays: 6PM – 8AM
Saturday: From Midday
Sunday and Public Holidays: 24 hours

Get Better will usually be able to send a doctor to see you or a member of your family within 3 hours of calling, However cannot visit outside of the hours above. With a valid Medicare or DVA card, There is NO out of pocket expense as they are a fully Bulk Billing Service. If you do not have a Medicare card or are from overseas a fee of $200 will be charged for the appointment. Speak to a member of our call centre team to confirm the fee you will be charged. Get Better is not equipped to deal with medical emergencies and in an emergency you should always call 000 or if able, make your way to the nearest Accident and Emergency Department.

Once you have used the Get Better Service it will send us a record of the visit, including details of any medicines prescribed to ensure that you receive continuity of care from your usual GP.
